# Top runs: * **Highest FPS**: `Cyberpunk2077_2024-09-08_Custom_MAX_BORE` - This run recorded the highest average FPS, significantly outperforming others by more than 25% in mean FPS. * **Smoothest FPS**: `Cyberpunk2077_2024-09-08_Custom_MAX_BPFLAND` - This run had the lowest FPS variance and standard deviation, resulting in the smoothest gaming experience among the three. * **Best overall**: `Cyberpunk2077_2024-09-08_Custom_MAX_BORE` - Despite a higher variance, the substantial FPS lead makes this run the best overall performer. # Issues: * The run using the `BPFLAND` scheduler had a significantly lower average FPS compared to the other two runs, showing a more than 40% drop in performance. The GPU power consumption and CPU load in this run are also much lower, which suggests that it was not fully utilizing the available resources. Therefore, this configuration is currently not competitive in terms of frame rate performance. * The `LAVD` scheduler run also showed lower average FPS, roughly 22% less than the top performer, and higher FPS variance than `BPFLAND`. This indicates occasional frame drops, contributing to an overall less stable performance. # Summary This benchmark compares three different Linux kernel scheduling strategies (`BORE`, `LAVD`, and `BPFLAND`) when running Cyberpunk 2077 under identical hardware and software settings. With a higher average FPS and substantial stability, `BORE` emerged as the top choice, delivering a superior gaming experience. `BPFLAND`, despite its smooth frame delivery, lagged significantly in performance, indicating underutilization of system resources. `LAVD` performed better than `BPFLAND` in terms of frame rate but was less stable overall. Hence, for achieving optimal performance and smooth gameplay in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p Ultra settings on Linux, the `BORE` scheduler is recommended.
